May is now producing 3-dimensional animated models of products that can be viewed on any computer. They are one of the select companies to be using 3-D Studio Max 6, a computer program that is also used to create feature films and video games. This innovative process eliminates costly production and materials, and guarantees a faster turnaround than the traditional design process.
The 3-dimensional technique allows any product to be displayed almost immediately in its actual setting. Clients can preview a virtual prototype eliminating the need for numerous and costly prototypes and revisions. This gives end users a conceptual idea before they are out the expense of an actual prototype. This technique can also be used to produce detailed animated guides that can greatly assist in the assembly of complex products.
